May 9, 1950 Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health was released. This book has changed the way people think about the mind and how it affects behavior. Many of the techniques the Scientology Volunteer Ministers use to help others were developed directly from the discoveries L. Ron Hubbard wrote about in Dianetics.
